July 31, 2010: An Early Morning and Tennis

The little guy woke us up at 4 a.m., and I made him a bottle.  J fed him, but it was 4:15 or so by the time my head hit the pillow again, which was too late for me to have any hope of getting real sleep before my alarm went off a half hour later. Yup, my alarm went off at 4:45 so I could get up in time for the REI attic sale.  It was quite an experience, waiting in line before sunrise with a bunch of hippies for deals on outdoor gear, but I didn't even know what that gear would be.  I ended up scoring a bike rack, a messenger bag, and some winter mittens/gloves.

Then I went home and grabbed the fam to go to the Legg Mason Tennis Classic, a pro tennis tournament held in DC every summer.  No, I didn't get the firm's tickets to see Andy Roddick or the other big names play.  We just watched a couple matches in the opening qualifying round, but it was a good time, and the kids seemed to have fun.
